Located in the Esteribar valley, 25 minutes from Pamplona, after the town of Larrasoaña on the right side of the N. 135, between the urban centers of Setoain and Errea, we find this abandoned village and its round preserve of approximately 300 ha of mountains, forests and meadows. It is located very close to the Camino de Santiago.
It is a village in ruins, totally uninhabited, with a church and some ruined buildings. People have lived there for centuries, and the mark of so many years of human presence is there, in plain sight. The footprint is those buildings, some of them hundreds of years old. It is a church that belonged to the Collegiate Church of Roncesvalles, two superb buildings and other small buildings for services, such as corrals, warehouses, etc.
Within what is rural architecture there are few buildings in Navarra with the architectural quality exhibited by one of these buildings that are still standing.
The village is today simply a farm for agricultural and livestock uses. It is also a small game preserve. It has well and spring water.

Situado en el valle de Esteribar a 25 mn de Pamplona, pasado el pueblo de Larrasoaña en el vertiente derecho de la N. 135, entre los núcleos urbanos de Setoain y Errea, nos encontramos con este pueblo abandonado y su coto redondo de aprox 300 ha de monte, bosque y prados. Está situado muy cerca del Camino de Santiago.
Es un pueblo en ruinas, totalmente deshabitado, con una iglesia y con unos edificios en ruina. Allí ha vivido gente durante siglos, y la huella de tantos años de presencia humana está allí, a la vista. La huella son esos edificios, algunos de ellos con cientos de años de antigüedad. Se trata de una iglesia que perteneció a la Colegiata de Roncesvalles, de dos soberbios edificios y de otros pequeños edificios destinados a servicios, como corrales, almacenes, etc.
Dentro de lo que es la arquitectura rural pocos edificios hay en Navarra con la calidad arquitectónica que exhibe uno de estos edificios que todavía quedan en pie.
El pueblo es hoy simplemente una granja para usos agrícolas y ganaderos. También es un coto de caza menor. Tiene agua de pozo y manantial.
